Police Car Cross Stitch

It doesn't take long for our little boys to start accumulating those traditional cars and trucks. This Police Car cross stitch packs a lot of image into a relatively small space.

Combine this heart with other similarly themed patterns, like "Firetruck", "Train," "Sailboat" and "Ride 'm Cowboy."

Intermix these with hearts embroidered solid, using the all the bright colors seen in all the themed hearts you select. Add several of the design-only hearts, like "Rainbow Zigzag" and "Rainbow Angles." Cross stitch these hearts on 9-count, 11-count or 18-count (stitched over two threads).

These counts make the heart design nicely sized on fabric cut into 5-inch squares. Once embroidered, use these as quilting blocks to make make a crib bumper and a baby quilt. Alternate each picture heart with a brightly colored, solid heart. Then, repeat these images on other accessories in the room.

This pattern was originally designed and used as another block or square for a baby afghan or baby quilt.
