Baby Blocks Cross Stitch Pattern

Baby blocks are a great way to creatively spell out words to decorate both your child's clothing and nursery. They are so universally recognized that there is no need to worry about whether they will "go" with an existing theme; you can easily change the color of the blocks.

  • Use with baby's picture. Select your favorite photo and plastic canvas or perforated paper from your local cross stitch supplier to use as a mat. Place the Baby Blocks Cross Stitch "Our Baby" heart in one of the corners.
  • Choose a cross stitch alphabet to embroider baby's name on the mat. Be creative! Add the date and any other text; perhaps a border of smaller hearts in matching colors.
  • It's a quick and easy way to add a finishing touch for a gift or to display on your desk at work.
  • Cross stitch photo albums or scrap books are another good idea.
  • This pattern was originally designed and used as another block or square for a baby afghan or baby quilt.

Is your "baby" your 8 year old cat? Check out cross stitch pet bowls. Embroider the circular canvas slide and slide it into an opening on the bottom. The picture will show when the bowl is empty.
